About Me

My name is April Krempasky, and I am a third grade teacher at Oakland Avenue Charter School.  I have a love for learning that began as a student myself when I admired my own teachers’ and my mother's love for teaching second grade. I attended the University of Central Florida for elementary education, and I have endorsements in both reading and English for speakers of other languages.
Within my classroom, I believe in utilizing multiple intelligences and cross-curricular activities to reach all students and instill a love for learning into each of them. I believe that loving to read is fundamental to a child's success, and therefore, I strive to find books of interest for all students.  My philosophy in terms of education revolves around finding joy in the unknown and piquing interest to strive to know more always.
Outside of school, I have a passion for travelling, crafting, and frequenting Walt Disney World.  I grew up in Ohio, and I travel back home as often as possible. I absolutely love to see new places and experience adventures which I try to bring knowledge of back into my classroom to share bits and pieces of the world even in the smallest ways.
