Behavior Plan and Expectations

I strongly believe in using positive reinforcement as much as possible in the classroom to help guide students to make appropriate behavior choices. I use the 4-colored clip chart as explained below.

  • Blue!!! – Student is showing above and beyond  behavior (note written in the student's agenda)
  • Green – Student is showing appropriate behavior
  • Yellow – Student is having some trouble behaving after given warnings (note written in the student's agenda)
  • Red – Student is not behaving appropriately after several warnings (note written in the student's agenda)

Listed below are some of the items students can earn rewards for throughout the school year.

  • Passing math facts
  • Passing sight words
  • Completing I-Ready lessons weekly
  • Completing 25 I-Ready lessons each quarter
  • Green and Blue behavior in class
  • Completing Homework
