Announcements

Hi Parents,
Here are a few upcoming events that are happening in our classroom:
****wanted to add one more announcement*****

This Thursday is MOM’s night!  The third Thursday of every month is Oakland Spirit Night at Melts on Main Street, “MOM’s”. MOM’s specialty is grill cheese sandwiches!  Spirit night runs from 3:00pm – 6:30pm (closes at 7:00) and MOM’s will give back 10% to OACS on all food and beverage sales (pre-order family style meals are excluded).

This month the class with the most students in attendance will win a special Valentine treat for their class.  Fill out a raffle ticket for each child and drop it in the designated box at MOM’s.

The address of  MOM’s, 108 S. Main St., downtown Winter Garden, and tell your friends!

******* January 23-27 is Literacy Week and we have a lot of fun activities going on.

On Monday the 23rd, we are having a Vocab Day…the kids can dress like any of the words found on the "Vocab List" I sent  home Friday the 13th.

The kids are free to dress like any of the words on the list. Or, they just make the word on a piece of cardstock and wear it around their necksJ(easy)!

We’re going to be decorating our class door also. I’m going to have a “vote” in class and pick a favorite book, so we will decorate based on that. This is a contest so , the winning class will get an ice cream partyJ

On Wednesday the 25th the upper grades will be paying us a visit to read to us…provided the weather holds up, we will do that in our courtyard.

Throughout the entire week, we are having a contest called Mystery Book…someone from administration will read passages of a popular book each day and each class will have the opportunity to guess which book. All contest winner will be announced on Friday the 27thJ

Then on Monday the 30th…we will have been in school 100 daysJJ so to celebrate, we are dressing up like 100 year oldsJ

Along with attaching the list to the weekly update I will also send home a hard copy, with a few ideas.

Thank you,

Mrs. Marziano
