I hope I will have the opportunity to get to know all of my students’ parents and caregivers over the course of the year so it’s only fair I tell you a little bit about myself.
This is my second full year at Oakland Avenue Charter as the Physical Education teacher. Prior to the 2015-2016 school year, I was a substitute teacher for Kelly Services and spent many of my days here filling in for various staff members. I am a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In addition to a passion for teaching in general, I have a passion for helping students develop the fundamental skills they need for life-long fitness.
Outside of school, I am an avid softball player who plays on multiple teams in a variety of positions, both infield and out. When I am not on the softball diamond, I enjoy camping and other activities as well as home improvement projects.
