The Town's Annual Water Quality Report - also known as a Consumer Confidence Report - is made available by July 1, at the latest, every year. You may view the most recent Annual Water Quality Report.

The short answer is yes. Because the Town of Oakland is regulated by the St. John's River Water Management District, all residents must follow its mandates. Even if you draw water from a private well or draw water from a lake, you must follow the stated irrigation watering restrictions. Some exceptions apply. Waste Management is contracted to collect household trash on Tuesday and Friday. Yard waste is collected on Wednesday. Recyclables are collected on Wednesday.

There are two ways to obtain a right-of-way permit. You pick one up at the Town Hall front desk, located at 230 N Tubb Street or download the right-of-way permit.

Hazardous waste includes but is no't limited to paint and paint thinners, used motor oil, freon, cleaning fluids, pesticides, and electronic containing circuit boards. A good rule of thumb for detecting waste as hazardous is by checking the label for any of the following descriptors: corrosive, flammable, or toxic. The Town of Oakland no longer accepts household hazardous waste items.
If you have latex paint cans that are empty and the leftover paint is dry, you may put them in your garbage can. Remember, latex only.
