  • If you wish to report an incident or request an officer in a non-emergency situation, dial 407-656-9797, ext 2. This number is active 24 hours a day. Oakland Officers will be dispatched to you by the Winter Garden Police Department.
    If you need to make a general inquiry, or speak with a member of the police department’s staff during normal business hours, dial 407-656-9797, ext. 5.

    The police station is located at 540 East Oakland Avenue. It is part of the public safety building, at the corner of East Oakland Avenue and Motomassek Street. The parking lot is located at the rear of the building.

  • If you have been involved in an incident or a traffic crash which was investigated by the Oakland Police Department, you may obtain a copy of the report from our records section, located at the Police Station, at 540 E Oakland Avenue. The normal hours for our records section are from 8:30 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. These reports are generally available 7 days after the incident or crash.

    The cost for copying reports is $0.15 for a single sided page and $0.20 for a double sided page. Any administrative costs associated with the copying of reports or other records are in accordance with Florida State Statutes.

  • Florida law requires that a bicycle rider or passenger under the age of 16 must wear a helmet that meets the nationally recognized standards for bicycle helmets. Additionally it is unlawful to rent a bicycle to a person under the age of 16 unless the person has an approved helmet or is provided one with the bicycle.   • The Police Department depends on citizens to call in and report crimes or other incidents that may seem suspicious. If you observe an emergency, dial 911. For non-emergencies call 407-656-9797, ext. 2. The dispatcher taking the call will ask you about the activity to help determine its nature and ask for descriptions of the people involved. You might be asked if an officer or detective may contact you.

  • If you have reason to believe that the Oakland Police Department has property belonging to you that was either lost, taken in a theft or turned in for safe keeping, you can call the Department at 407-656-9797, from 8:30 a.m. until noon and from 1 p.m. until 4:30, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. If the property can be released you can make arrangements at that time. You may be asked to provide proof of ownership. If it is considered evidence, it may not be released until the criminal case has been disposed of.
